This webinar is part of a series within the framework of the initiative MILES - MIL and PRE-BUNKING approaches for Critical thinking in the education, made up of 11 partners from various EU countries. The initiative aims to develop, test and evaluate innovative approaches to media and information literacy, building resilience against disinformation and fostering independent and critical thinking within the education sector.

Expert in Education for Digital Citizenship (Council of Europe), member of the Expert Group on Tackling Disinformation through Education and Training (European Commission), guest researcher at CIES-ISCTE–Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (Media Literacy and Journalism), lecturer at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (Communication Sciences), teacher trainer (Ministry of Education), trainer of trainers (CENJOR), and journalist (CP1524).

👤 Professor Miguel Ferreira da Silva
Professor Miguel Ferreira da Silva graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law at the University of Lisbon and specialised in Security and Defence during his PhD at the University of Nottingham. He served as a military representative of the Ministry of National Defence (MDN) in Washington. He currently works as a lawyer, researcher, writer and university professor. He was the first President of the Liberal Initiative and is currently a member of the party’s National Council. In the field of promoting digital literacy and countering disinformation, he has worked on regulation, legislation, and in participation in European forums.
